Title Quantum photonic integrated circuits with waveguide integrated superconducting nanowire single-photon detectors Type Conference Article
Year 2018 Publication EPJ Web Conf. Abbreviated Journal EPJ Web Conf.
Volume 190 Issue Pages 02004 (1 to 2)
Keywords waveguide SSPD, SNSPD
Abstract (down) We show the design, a history of development as well as the most successful and promising approaches for QPICs realization based on hybrid nanophotonic-superconducting devices, where one of the key elements of such a circuit is a waveguide integrated superconducting single-photon detector (WSSPD). The potential of integration with fluorescent molecules is discussed also.

Title Counting photons using a nanonetwork of superconducting wires Type Conference Article
Year 2009 Publication Nano-Net Abbreviated Journal
Volume Issue Pages 120-122
Keywords SSPD, SNSPD
Abstract (down) We show how the parallel connection of photo-sensitive superconducting nanowires can be used to count the number of photons in an optical pulse, down to the single-photon level. Using this principle we demonstrate photon-number resolving detectors with unprecedented sensitivity and speed at telecommunication wavelengths.

Title Terahertz superconducting hot-electron bolometer mixers and their application in radio astronomy Type Journal Article
Year 2003 Publication Radiophys. Quant. Electron. Abbreviated Journal
Volume 46 Issue 8/9 Pages 604-617
Keywords NbN HEB mixers
Abstract (down) We review the latest developments, research, and radioastronomy applications of hot-electron bolometer (HEB) mixers operated in the terahertz waveband. The physical principles of operation of terahertz HEB mixers are presented, their manufacturing from ultrathin NbN films, the main HEB-mixer parameters and their measurement techniques are discussed, and practical terahertz radioastronomy projects based on heterodyne receivers with HEB mixers are considered.

Title Superconducting optical single-photon detectors Type Conference Article
Year 2004 Publication CLEO/QELS Abbreviated Journal CLEO/QELS
Volume Issue Pages IThD1
Keywords SSPD, QE, jitter, dark counts
Abstract (down) We review the development of superconducting single-photon detectors. The devices are characterized by experimental quantum efficiency of ~8% for infrared photons, counting rate ~2 GHz, 18 ps jitter, and <0.01 per second dark counts.
