Title Transition-edge sensors based on superconducting nanowires Type Abstract
Year 2006 Publication Proc. APS March Meeting Abbreviated Journal Proc. APS March Meeting
Volume (up) Issue Pages B38.00001
Keywords NbN nanowire TES
Abstract We present our experimental study of superconducting NbN nanowire-based sensor. The responsivity of the sensor is strongly affected by the superconducting transition width of the nanostructure, which, in turn, is determined by the phase slip centers (PCSs) dynamics. The fluctuations and noise properties of the sensor are also discussed, as well as the devices' behavior at high magnetic fields. The ultimate performance of the sensor and prospects of the devices will be discussed, as well.

Title Experimental quantum teleportation of a two-qubit composite system Type Journal Article
Year 2006 Publication Nature Physics Abbreviated Journal Nat. Phys.
Volume (up) 2 Issue 10 Pages 678-682
Keywords fromIPMRAS; quantum teleportation
Abstract Quantum teleportation, a way to transfer the state of a quantum system from one location to another, is central to quantum communication and plays an important role in a number of quantum computation protocols. Previous experimental demonstrations have been implemented with single photonic or ionic qubits. However, teleportation of single qubits is insufficient for a large-scale realization of quantum communication and computation. Here, we present the experimental realization of quantum teleportation of a two-qubit composite system. In the experiment, we develop and exploit a six-photon interferometer to teleport an arbitrary polarization state of two photons. The observed teleportation fidelities for different initial states are all well beyond the state estimation limit of 0.40 for a two-qubit system. Not only does our six-photon interferometer provide an important step towards teleportation of a complex system, it will also enable future experimental investigations on a number of fundamental quantum communication and computation protocols

Title Superconducting hot electron bolometer mixer for middle IR range Type Conference Article
Year 2006 Publication Proc. 16th Int. Crimean Microwave and Telecommunication Technology Abbreviated Journal Proc. 16th Int. Crimean Microwave and Telecommunication Technology
Volume (up) 2 Issue Pages 686-687
Keywords IR NbN HEB mixer, detector, GaAs substrate
Abstract The developed directly lens coupled hot electron bolometer (HEB) mixer was based on 5 nm superconducting NbN deposited on GaAs substrate. The layout of the structure, including 30x20 mcm^2 active area coupled with a 50 Ohm coplanar line, was patterned by photolithography. The responsivity of the mixer was measured in a direct detection mode in the 25-64 THz frequency range. The noise performance of the mixer and the directivity of the receiver were investigated in a heterodyne mode. A 10.6 mum wavelength CW CO2 laser was utilized as a local oscillator.

Abstract Presented in this paper are the performances of HEB mixers based on 2-3.5 nm thick NbN films integrated with log-periodic spiral antenna. Double side-band receiver noise temperature values are 1300 K and 3100 K at 2.5 THz and at 3.8 THz, respectively. Mixer gain bandwidth is 5.2 GHz. Local oscillator power is 1-3 muW for mixers with different active area

Title Квазиоптические смесители терагерцового диапазона на основе эффекта разогрева электронов в тонких пленках NbN Type Conference Article
Year 2006 Publication Proc. 16th Int. Crimean Microwave and Telecommunication Technology Abbreviated Journal
Volume (up) 2 Issue Pages 688-689
